LeBron Scores Career High 61 Points

In 2014, back when the Charlotte Hornets were known as the Charlotte Bobcats, LeBron wore his #6 Miami Heat jersey and a transparent flesh-toned mask as he scored 61 total points.

LeBron James caused all types of problems for Charlotte’s defense, and he exposed any and every eager defender that night. Shooting 8 for 10 from 3-point range, hitting 9 of 12 free throws, and playing for 41 of the 48 minutes in the game; Lebron was visibly in his bag. With LeBron shooting the 3 well and finishing through contact, his teammates let him takeover. He nearly outscored his 12 teammates who all combined for 63 points for a grand total of 124 points on the night.

LeBron put on an inspiring display that night etching his name into history books and proving why he deserves to be acknowledged as one of the greatest to ever play the game. Simply put, this piece represents the best scoring display from one of the greatest of all time.

“The Box” Poster

I remember hearing Roddy Ricch for the first time in 2017 when he dropped his first mixtape, Feed Tha Streets. Roddy blew up the following year when he dropped Die Young, the song sold over 2 million copies and became his first 2x multi-platinum song.

By 2018, most people have heard Roddy’s music, but I took some pride in hearing his music before everybody else was with it. “The Box” dropped in December of 2019, and only 4 weeks went by before his new song was #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. “The Box” was his first #1 and it held that position for 11 weeks straight, and even eventually earned 10x multi-platinum.

I always appreciate it when artists release creative music videos to add visual components to their music, so I was hype to see that the music video for “The Box” was both high-speed and energetic. The imagery in the basketball scene specifically was so iconic to me that I asked my dad to create a poster inspired by the scene. When the piece was finished, I loved it so much that it was the only piece of art that I wanted in my dorm room at school. My favorite aspect of this piece is that it was made for me; I got to see one of my favorite clips translated into a dope poster for my dorm.

Peace,
